UK and EU Finally Reached a Deal

Date

Good news at last. UK and EU reached a trade deal. The agreement will apply from 1 January 2021 and take over from the arrangements under the transition period, which has seen the UK continue to follow most EU rules since Brexit day.

However, a lot of people, from accountants to chefs, work in different EU countries and didn’t have to worry about crossing borders multiple times while the UK was part of the EU. But will UK professional qualifications be recognised across the EU in the future.

UK and Switzerland signed a Services Mobility Agreement to make sure professionals can continue to travel between our countries. This means:

✅ no economic interest tests
✅ no work permits
✅ no lengthy processing times needed for the first 90 days

This is open to businesses of all sizes, including the self-employed.
